Bathroom Trends 2017

Your bathroom knows you better than you know yourself! Your bathroom sees your face without makeup, takes all your crap, and then cleans you up!

Spring is here and it is time to freshen up your bathroom and give it the love that it deserves. It is time to focus on this room and give it the update it is screaming for.

A couple years ago my husband was stationed in Afghanistan and I renovated two bathrooms. He only knew I was doing one. Hehe! But since I was able to do a lot of the work myself, he never knew. You can read about my renovations here.

I wanted to share with you my favorite trends from the Kitchen & Bath Industry show (KBIS) 2017 that I went to in January. I have already shared all the Kitchen trends.  (You can read the Kitchen trends blog here)  But now, on to the highlights for bathrooms.

Here are my top Trends for Bathrooms from the Kitchen & Bath Industry show

Starting with some show stoppers. everyone can agree that a free-standing tub can be such a great focal point.

Floating cabinetry seems to be on the rise whether you like contemporary or traditional. There was something for everyone. It also seems easier to clean underneath and less heavy in the room. A great idea for small bathrooms.

Since it is what inside that counts - check out these pull out options from Kohler vanity cabinets.  There is a place for everything and cabinets come electrified. These are smart solutions no matter what size bathroom.

White everything has been the trend with undermount sinks. It was nice to see rich cabinetry and different sink types

Rustic Modern cabinetry also has a presence in vanities. The wood has a lot of texture and pair nicely with a sleek solid color counter top.

This vignette by Masterbrand Cabinetry captured a lot of attention. The clean lined deep green cabinetry plays well with the rustic wood touches.

My favorite vanity cabinet was new by Ronbow. This beauty is called Amora. It has multiple storage opportunities, making a statement in any setting. The Amora's visually stunning look comes from the shapes and cuts of the drawers and doors, giving an almost puzzle-like appearance when opened.

Polished Nickel and black were finishes that were seen everywhere in bathroom faucets. These were a sampling of the ones I loved.  Check out how thin the rainhead shower is on the left! That type of profile will eliminate water hangup.

This see through faucet is by Pfister. It is definitely a conversation piece.  Can you imagine how cool it would be for a  powder room piece.  Your guests will be stumped with. Ha!

Bathroom faucets have also brought an industrial touch with gear like handles. I also like the sleek twist faucet. There were many more, but these were my favorites.

With all of these trends for 2017, what was your favorite? I would love to hear from you! Make a comment below.
